Language of Life and Leadership Records Another Major Milestone Through Subscription Initiative.

Language of Life and Leadership, the widely acclaimed book authored by Nasir Abdulquadri, has reached another significant milestone through its expanding subscription initiative as Barrister Abdulmajeed Adetayo Opeyemi Adekeye, Chairman of Supreme Homes, Asokoro, Abuja FCT, sponsored copies of the book for final year students of the Faculty of Law, University of Ilorin.

The initiative represents another notable endorsement of the book’s growing influence within academic and leadership circles and reinforces the importance of preparing students not only for professional success but also for purposeful living and responsible leadership.

Barrister Adekeye, a distinguished alumnus of the Faculty of Law, University of Ilorin, Class of 2005, described the sponsorship as a deliberate effort to equip students for life beyond the university environment.

According to him, while legal education provides professional competence and technical knowledge, long term success requires an equally strong foundation in character, leadership, critical thinking, personal responsibility, and ethical decision making.

The sponsored copies of Language of Life and Leadership are intended to serve as a guide and source of inspiration for graduating students as they transition from academic life into professional practice and broader societal responsibilities.

Through unique interpretations of words, expressions, and everyday concepts, the book explores themes of leadership, purpose, excellence, integrity, citizenship, self discovery, and nation building while offering practical lessons for personal and professional growth.

Speaking on the significance of the initiative, the author, Mallam Nasir Abdulquadri, commended Barrister Adekeye for demonstrating meaningful alumni engagement through investment in the intellectual and leadership development of future professionals.

He noted that impactful alumni contributions extend beyond physical infrastructure to include shaping values, expanding perspectives, and cultivating leadership consciousness among students.

Receiving the initiative on behalf of the Faculty, the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Prof. Bashiru Adeniyi Omipidan, expressed appreciation to Barrister Adekeye and the author for what he described as a thoughtful and timely intervention.

The Dean noted that after reviewing the philosophy and content of the book, the Faculty is confident that students will derive meaningful value from its lessons as they prepare for life beyond the classroom.

According to the Dean:

“We sincerely appreciate Barrister Abdulmajeed Adetayo Opeyemi Adekeye for remembering his Faculty and investing in the intellectual and leadership development of our students.

We also commend Mallam Nasir Abdulquadri for producing a book that goes beyond academic instruction to address deeper questions of character, purpose, leadership, and social responsibility.

Having reviewed the content of the book, we are confident that our final year students will benefit immensely from its insights as they prepare for professional practice and the realities of life after graduation.”

The Dean further observed that modern legal education must aim beyond producing competent lawyers to raising responsible leaders who understand the ethical, social, and developmental responsibilities attached to their profession.

He described the initiative as consistent with the Faculty’s vision of producing graduates who are intellectually equipped and morally grounded.

Members of the Faculty community also commended the initiative as an exemplary model of alumni engagement and mentorship.

They observed that while many graduates leave school academically prepared, additional guidance in leadership, personal development, and navigating broader life challenges remains essential. Consequently, they described Language of Life and Leadership as a valuable companion for young professionals entering an increasingly competitive and rapidly evolving world.

The sponsorship by Barrister Adekeye marks another important milestone in the continued reach of the book across educational institutions and leadership platforms.

It further reinforces the belief that the future of Nigeria depends not only on academic excellence but also on raising young people equipped with the values, mindset, and leadership orientation necessary for national progress.

As the subscription initiative continues to gain momentum, stakeholders have encouraged alumni associations, corporate organisations, philanthropists, and public institutions to support the distribution of Language of Life and Leadership across schools and institutions in Nigeria and Africa.

They maintain that investing in books that inspire character, purpose, and responsible leadership remains one of the most sustainable investments any society can make in its future.
