Third Estate Ilorin Emirate Pays Courtesy Visit to New Chief Imam of Ilorin

The leadership and members of the Third Estate Ilorin Emirate paid a courtesy visit to the newly appointed Chief Imam of Ilorin, Sheikh Bashir Dasuki, to formally congratulate him on his appointment and reaffirm the association’s support for his spiritual leadership. The delegation was led by the Secretary of the association, Dr. Lanre Olumo, who represented the President, Mallam Ahmed Ladan Gobir.
Speaking on behalf of the President and the Executive Council, Dr. Lanre Olumo conveyed the heartfelt congratulations of the entire membership of the Third Estate Ilorin Emirate. He described the appointment of the new Chief Imam as a significant milestone in the history of Ilorin Emirate and expressed confidence that his emergence would further strengthen the Emirate’s enduring legacy of Islamic scholarship, spiritual excellence, unity, and moral leadership.
The congratulatory message, signed by the President, Mallam Ahmed Ladan Gobir, was formally read by the association’s Public Relations Officer, Mallam Nasir Abdulquadri. The address highlighted the Chief Imam’s remarkable academic and spiritual journey, his years of dedicated service to Islam, and expressed the association’s belief that his tenure would deepen faith, foster unity, promote scholarship, and contribute immensely to the continued growth of the Muslim Ummah in Ilorin Emirate.
As part of the visit, the association’s Treasurer, Alhaji Agboola Saad, presented gifts to the Chief Imam on behalf of the Third Estate Ilorin Emirate as a symbol of goodwill, respect, and solidarity.
In his response, Sheikh Bashir Dasuki expressed profound appreciation to the leadership and members of the association for the honour and thoughtful gesture. He offered fervent prayers for the President, the Executive Council, and the entire membership of the Third Estate Ilorin Emirate, praying that Almighty Allah would continue to bless the association with wisdom, unity, sound health, and greater opportunities to serve the Ilorin Emirate and humanity.
The visit further underscored the commitment of the Third Estate Ilorin Emirate to strengthening its relationship with traditional and religious institutions while promoting peace, scholarship, community development, and the preservation of the rich Islamic heritage of the Ilorin Emirate.
