Residents praise the President and pray for him as the 42.6km road emerges as a new economic link between Kwara Central, Kwara South and Osun State.

Relief is spreading across communities along the Eiyenkorin–Afon–Ojoku–Offa corridor as citizens celebrate President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for what they describe as a huge job well done on one of Kwara’s most strategic road projects.
In interviews along the route, residents, traders and road users expressed appreciation to the President and offered prayers for him, saying the ongoing work has begun to ease years of difficult travel. Many described the project as long-awaited relief, not just another construction site.
The 42.6-kilometre Eiyenkorin–Afon–Ojoku–Offa Road is being delivered under the infrastructure-driven Renewed Hope Agenda. Officials say the corridor is fast emerging as a strategic development route in Kwara State and a vital economic artery linking Kwara Central to the southern part of the state.
Once completed, the road is expected to open faster access to Osun State and cut travel time along the corridor to roughly 30 minutes. For communities that have endured long journeys, higher transport costs and poor connectivity, that change is already being felt as a turning point.
The project recently came under the spotlight during an inspection led by Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, alongside the Honourable Minister of Works, David Umahi, and a delegation from the BUA Group headed by its Group Executive Director, Kabir Rabiu.
The inspection, according to project observers, reflected a growing synergy between federal leadership, state facilitation and private-sector participation in delivering critical national infrastructure. While those visits marked official attention on the corridor, citizens who spoke on camera kept their gratitude focused on President Tinubu, thanking him and praying for continued impact.
Residents say the road will do more than shorten travel. They expect safer movement, easier trade between Ilorin, Offa and adjoining communities, and new opportunity for agrarian and commercial settlements along the alignment.
