NTT DATA Adopts SAP AI and Cloud Solutions to Upgrade Global HR Operations

NTT DATA has implemented SAP SuccessFactors solutions and SAP Business Data Cloud, integrated with Joule, SAP’s artificial intelligence (AI) orchestrator, as part of efforts to modernise its human resources operations worldwide.

According to a statement issued by SAP , the move will allow NTT DATA to consolidate multiple existing HR systems into a unified platform for managing employee information and human resources processes.

The technology is expected to strengthen workforce planning, facilitate data-driven decision-making and improve the employee experience across the organisation.

NTT DATA’s Chief People Officer, Stijn Nauwelaerts, said the initiative underscores the company’s recognition of talent as a competitive advantage and its intention to embed AI into its enterprise operations.

“The initiative reflects NTT DATA’s view of talent as a strategic differentiator and AI as a capability that should be embedded across enterprise organizations,” Nauwelaerts said.

He added, “Ultimately, this is about creating an environment where our people feel empowered to do their best work, wherever they are in the world.”

NTT DATA, a global provider of AI, digital business and technology services valued at more than $30bn, provides services to 75 per cent of Fortune Global 100 companies. The company is expected to deploy the SAP SuccessFactors solutions over a 12-month period.

As part of the arrangement, SAP SuccessFactors will function as the central platform for employee and talent data, while SAP Business Data Cloud will integrate the information with insights generated from other areas of the business.

The company revealed that it adopted SAP Cloud ERP Private solutions in 2025 as part of its efforts to modernise its core business systems. NTT DATA will also draw on its internal SAP expertise to develop and implement the new HR platform.

SAP said the consolidation of employee information and HR processes will create a single authoritative source of data, enabling NTT DATA to provide faster and more consistent human resources services across its global operations.

NTT DATA also noted that deploying the platform internally would give the company practical experience that could strengthen its ability to support clients undertaking AI-driven HR transformation with the solutions it provides.

SAP’s Chief Customer Officer and Member of its Executive Board, Thomas Saueressig, said the initiative demonstrates how AI and cloud technology could transform employee experiences.

“NTT DATA is demonstrating how AI and cloud technology can redefine the employee experience,” Saueressig said.

“With a unified, intelligent HR platform, the company will unlock new levels of productivity and scale a people strategy that supports a connected workforce worldwide,” he added.
