The Federal Government has said reconstruction and dualisation of the Koton Karfe–Abaji Federal Highway in Kogi State is nearing completion under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.
The highway serves as a strategic transport route linking Abuja to Lokoja and other cities in North-Central Nigeria. The project is expected to improve connectivity, ease movement and support economic activities across the region.
According to the statement, work on the project has reached an advanced stage, with efforts being intensified to ensure timely delivery in line with quality standards.
The Minister of Works, Senator David Umahi, commended the contractor for professionalism and commitment to quality delivery.
The statement also reaffirmed the commitment to community inclusion and support throughout the project.
