The Lagos State Head of Service, Mr Bode Agoro, has emphasised the role of the Lagos State Development and Property Corporation (LSDPC) in supporting the state’s continued growth and addressing the evolving needs of its residents and businesses.
Agoro made this known recently during the unveiling of the corporation’s newly renovated building on Town Planning Way, Ilupeju, Lagos.
He noted that the renovation demonstrates LSDPC’s commitment to preserving its assets and providing a workplace that meets the standards expected of a modern public institution.
According to him, the corporation plays a significant role in Lagos State’s development through its involvement in property development, housing and the management of government real estate assets.
Agoro explained that beyond the physical improvement of the building, the workforce remains an organisation’s most valuable resource. He noted that although a modern office provides an appropriate working environment, the quality of service ultimately depends on the dedication, professionalism, integrity and commitment of the people working within it.
He encouraged LSDPC staff to maximise the benefits of the renovated facility, urging them to embrace excellence, strengthen cooperation among departments and recognise that every responsibility assigned to them presents an opportunity to contribute to the development of Lagos State.

The Head of Service further charged public servants to uphold professionalism, integrity, diligence and accountability while maintaining their commitment to serving the public.
Congratulating the LSDPC management on the achievement, Agoro urged the corporation to remain focused on its future objectives and ensure that its management and staff translate its mandate and aspirations into tangible results that would positively affect Lagos State and its residents.
He also emphasised that the quality of work performed within the renovated building should correspond with the investment made in the project.
Agoro stated that the event went beyond the refurbishment of a building, describing it as an investment in the workforce and the quality of service expected from its members.
He highlighted the importance of providing public institutions with safe, functional and conducive working environments that adequately support their employees. He also reiterated the Lagos State Government’s commitment to establishing a public service that is professional, efficient, responsive and people-centred.
According to him, creating a suitable working environment is essential to achieving this objective. He therefore called on staff members to take responsibility for the facility’s upkeep and ensure that the standard of work delivered within the building reflects the investment made in its renovation.
Earlier, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of LSDPC, Mr Ayodeji Joseph, said the corporation recognises the need to maintain high standards across its operations, given its responsibilities in property development, housing and the management of government real estate assets.
Joseph stated that the corporation’s work environment should reflect the professionalism, efficiency and excellence it seeks to maintain in carrying out its mandate.
He explained that the renovation was undertaken with the recognition that the workforce remains one of the corporation’s most valuable assets.
According to him, a conducive workplace encourages employees to perform at their best, promotes teamwork across departments and strengthens their collective ability to meet the expectations of the Lagos State Government and the people of Lagos.
Joseph added that the improved facility also places a responsibility on management and staff to safeguard the building, maintain its facilities properly and ensure that their conduct and performance reflect the investment made in the workplace.
He urged employees to take full advantage of the improved working environment by demonstrating stronger commitment, professionalism, cooperation and dedication in carrying out their duties.
