Bountiis, a nonprofit organisation dedicated to women’s empowerment, has concluded the fourth edition of its flagship Rise & Thrive programme, bringing together women from diverse backgrounds for emotional wellness, personal development and community support at the University of Lagos
The event, themed “Whole. Worthy. Thriving.”, brought together women from diverse backgrounds, including widows, divorcees, married women navigating difficult seasons, mature singles, and others seeking personal growth, healing, and support.
More than just a conference, Rise & Thrive 4.0 served as a transformative experience where women were encouraged to embrace their worth, strengthen their faith, overcome limiting beliefs, and build meaningful connections with other women navigating similar life journeys.
The programme featured a series of sessions focused on emotional resilience, self-worth, faith, and personal transformation, as participants explored practical strategies for overcoming challenges and building healthier, more fulfilling lives.
Speaking during the event, Dr. Aisha Adaviruku encouraged participants to take control of their thoughts and develop healthier mindsets rooted in faith, self-awareness, and personal responsibility.

Also speaking, Prof. Khadijah Idowu urged women not to allow temporary circumstances define their future, stressing the importance of resilience, growth, and purpose regardless of present challenges.
Coach Mutiat Olagoke challenged participants to resist societal pressures and embrace their authentic selves, emphasizing the need for women to remain grounded in their values while pursuing personal fulfilment.
Beyond the keynote sessions, attendees participated in networking opportunities, reflective exercises, group discussions, and prayer sessions designed to foster meaningful connections and strengthen support systems among women facing similar life experiences.
Speaking on the significance of the initiative, Executive Director of Bountiis, Dr. Falilat Jimoh, said many women continue to carry emotional and social burdens with limited access to support structures.
According to the organisation, interest in the programme exceeded available spaces, highlighting the growing demand for initiatives that address women’s emotional well-being, personal development, and community support.
Also, mental health advocates cautioned that many women face increasing emotional and social pressures while lacking access to structured support systems. Bountiis says Rise & Thrive was created to bridge that gap.
Participants left the event equipped with practical tools, renewed confidence, and stronger support networks to help them navigate personal and professional challenges.
Bountiis expressed appreciation to its speakers, volunteers, partners, and supporters for contributing to the success of the programme. The organisation also acknowledged Reedahs Fruits for supporting participant welfare during the event.
The nonprofit reaffirmed its commitment to expanding access to mentorship, wellness programmes, leadership development opportunities, and community-driven initiatives aimed at helping women thrive in all areas of life.
