Governor Ademola Adeleke of the Accord Party has been declared the winner of the 2026 Osun State governorship election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Adeleke secured 511,067 votes to emerge as the winner of the election, while the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, polled 511,067 votes
The election was held across Osun State on Saturday, August 15, 2026, with voters casting their ballots to elect the governor who will lead the state for another four-year term.
Following the completion of the collation of results from the 30 local government areas of the state, INEC announced Adeleke as the winner.
The governor’s victory gives him another four-year mandate to continue his administration in Osun State.
Oyebamiji, who contested on the platform of the APC, emerged as Adeleke’s closest challenger in the election, while other candidates also participated in the contest.
The election attracted attention across the state as political parties and their supporters monitored the voting and collation of results.
With the declaration by INEC, Adeleke is set to continue as governor of Osun State for a second term.
The outcome brings the 2026 Osun governorship election to a close, following weeks of campaigns and political activities across the state.
