Precious Adedoyin Ogundeyi, a graduate of the University of Ilorin (UNILORIN), has earned First Class Honours in Accounting after gaining admission into the institution at the age of 16.
Ogundeyi recently shared an emotional farewell message on LinkedIn, recounting her university experience and revealing that she became tearful while leaving Ilorin after completing her studies.
According to her account, although she secured admission at 16, the prolonged Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) strike delayed the commencement of her studies by a year. She eventually arrived on campus at the age of 17, ready to begin her university journey.

Graduate Breaks Down in Tears While Leaving Ilorin
In her LinkedIn post, Ogundeyi described how she became emotional while travelling out of Ilorin in a Mufsuf bus.
She explained that although she had anticipated being excited about leaving the university after years of studying, she found herself crying during the journey.
The graduate reflected on the friendships, memories and personal growth she experienced during her time at the institution. She also acknowledged that her university experience helped her develop courage, empathy, faith, professional networks and a deeper understanding of herself.
She expressed gratitude for the experience, noting that the growth she experienced was just as meaningful as the degree she obtained.
Ogundeyi Holds AAT and ACA Certifications
In addition to her First Class degree in Accounting, Ogundeyi also holds two professional accounting qualifications: the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) and the Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA) certifications.
Her achievement was also recognised by social media users, with congratulatory messages from Zainab Afolabi and Deborah Adeyanju, who celebrated her academic success and wished her well in her next chapter.
